The UCLA ALACRITY Center External Speaker Series will host a lecutre from Dr. Ed Watkins, Professor of Experimental and Applied Clinical Psychology at the School of Psychology, University of Exeter. Watkins will present his lecture, "Rumination & Its Treatment in Young People," on Dec. 15, 2022.
Beginning today, ELAC students who sign up for the STAND at ELAC program have the option of enrolling in research studies on the STAND at ELAC implementation and earning up to $275 for their participation. The first open study — Finding and adapting the level of care — is investigating methods of finding the most appropriate level of care for each student and adapting care to maximize outcomes.
The UCLA Depression Grand Challenge’s NIMH-funded STAND for Community Colleges Innovation Center announced its first call for pilot projects. This funding will support 2-3 projects from UCLA-based junior investigators in conducting high-quality, innovative research focused on increasing engagement in UCLA’s STAND program services, addressing diverse populations, increasing the uptake of digital therapy, and other implementation science topics.
The UCLA Depression Grand Challenge was awarded a five-year, $12 million grant from the National Institute of Mental Health to expand its STAND system of care, with a focus on reaching more California community college students. The federal funding will establish a new campus research center that will work to optimize the effectiveness and implementation of the STAND model and execute a sustainable and scalable plan for implementing STAND at community colleges.
