Jill Newby is a professor at the University of New South Wales School of Psychology, an NHMRC Emerging Leader and Clinical Psychologist at the Black Dog Institute. Her current research interests are:
- technology-based interventions for depression and anxiety (including internet/e-mental health interventions)
- cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness-based interventions
- health anxiety and cyberchondria
- anxiety disorders and specific phobias
- virtual reality exposure therapy
